Welcome to The Tunbridge Church!
The Tunbridge Church was established in 1978 when the South Tunbridge Methodist Church, the Tunbridge Congregational Church and the North Tunbridge Baptist Church merged.
Its Mission Statement reads: The Tunbridge Church is an inclusive community of faith that accepts individuals on their unique spiritual journeys. We believe spiritual growth is nurtured by celebration, praise, prayer and teaching within the historic Christian and biblical tradition. We are encouraged to listen to and care for all other members and to reach out in caring service to the world
Worship services are held from September through June in the wheelchair-accessible Congregational Church building in Tunbridge Village. Children’s Sunday School classes during these months are in the Parish House across the road. Worship services are held at the Methodist Church in July and at the Baptist Church in August.
Worship services begin at 10 a.m. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. Special services include Good Friday, Easter sunrise (followed by breakfast), an August outdoor service, a Festival of Worship music service during the World’s Fair, and Christmas Eve.
